Some Platform Ideas:

* Fully Fund Social Security by " Removing the cap" on contributions to Include All Income. Use a 3% Flat Tax that includes Capital Gains.

* National HMO for all citizens funded with a flat tax on all income (3%) Focused on Wellness and Preventive care. Clinics distributed by population. Includes Prescriptions Dental, Vision and Health clubs.

* Create system for employers to check workers citizenship status. Businesses who repeatedly employ illegal workers will risk jail and loss of business property.

* Pay Mothers $30,000 per year if they are willing to take human development classes and be drug tested for Opiates, Cocaine and Methamphetamine.

* Drug Policy Reform. Industrial Hemp would help save the family farm. All alcohol, tobacco and marijuana should be sold in a government store. Only caffeine drug sales by private business. Taxes collected will fund education system.

* All public servants that pass judgment, prosecute or imprison their fellow citizens will be drug tested randomly and the data posted on the internet. [Judges; DA's, Police, Magistrates, Probation and Parole, Prison guards, etc.]

* Remove the Federal Reserve from control of our money supply. The Fed Caused the Great Depression and they are Unconstitutional.

* Federal income tax on "Fee for Service" workers is Unconstitutional and must be stopped. Only Capital Gains can be taxed legally. http://www.givemeliberty.org/features/taxes/toto/totoad-03-23-01.htm

* Federal support for creating and updating sewage treatment systems. We all live downstream.

* Efficiency; Solar, Wind, Tidal and Biomass energy production, not Nuclear and Oil and Bio-fuels.

* Strengthen clean air and water standards. Profits are privatized while costs [externalities] are socialized.

* Rational military spending.
Real Jail Time for Corrupt War Profiteers!

* Stop subsidizing multi-national conglomerates with corporate "wealthfare". No government contracts with non-US based companies.

* Prisoners work to produce products for schools and government, not private industry.

* No "Free Trade" with nations that do not have the same legal protections the United States workers have.

* Improved food safety oversight.
Clear and Enforced Organic Standards

* C-Span/State/Local government radio broadcasts to every corner of the USA to help educate voters. Maintaining public service network is the new mission for Tobyhanna Depot.

* Reform campaigns by requiring all candidates to take assessments, and then mailing the scores to all voters. Instant Run Off voting [IRV], and optical scanning/paper ballot systems are also needed.

* Regional economic development that emphasizes Urban Core Renewal, Micro-enterprise development, and Cooperative Relationships.

* Infra-structure and human capital development. A new generation of mass transit, and more training opportunities for adults will make America strong.

Kurt Shotko's Resume

Kurt Shotko was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on May 25, 1967 to Karen & Joseph Shotko and has a younger sister Kristen. He went to Palmer Elementary, Palmer, PA. Moved to Moscow, PA in 1978, and graduated from North Pocono High School in 1985.
[Who's Who of American High School Students 1984-85].

He attended Keystone College for Biology: East Stroudsburg University for
Philosophy and Economics, and Marywood University for Art Education.

In 2000 & 2002, Kurt was voted "Best Activist in Northeast Pennsylvania" by the readers of the "Electric City" newspaper. His biography has been selected for inclusion in "Who's Who in America, 2002." In 2004, Mr. Shotko was asked to submit his biography to the International Biographical Centre for inclusion in their book "2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century."

From 1995 until 2003, Mr. Shotko and his mother created a family business called "An Idea Outlet, Advertising Specialties and Picture Framing" in Moscow, PA. In 2003 their building was torn down by it's owner to make a parking lot for his Exxon/Mobil station .

Kurt Shotko lives in Scranton's Hill Section, and is working on two non-profit organizations:

Life At It's Best, Focused on building community in Northeast Pennsylvania through the use of arts experiences. The organization is looking to create a community center that provides job training, mentoring programs, wellness activities, and health clinics.
